I am a wife and mother. The joys in my life are family, friends, travel, wine, food, music and learning. I am passionate about wine and have studied wine on my own since the 90’s. I attend wine tastings, read wine books, articles, and blogs regularly and frequently attend wine related events. I am a former personal trainer, nutrition coach, weight loss coach and cycling instructor so I have a love for healthy living. I believe good wine and good food contribute to healthy living. I have a master’s degree in history. I am a writer and researcher; I enjoy finding the hidden story.  Though I have no musical talent, I have a true passion for music. Furthermore, I feel a true connection between music and wine. Music is so unique; there are endless styles as well as endless opinions; much like wine. Additionally, wine tasting notes are subjective and rarely do two people taste all the same flavors. Therefore, in addition to food pairings and tasting notes, I use songs to help describe my perception of each wine. Rockin Red Blog is a culmination of my passions, gifts and desire to share them with the world.
